A new trailer has been released for Transformers 6 and I gotta say: that was fast. Well, it’s not much of a surprise since Hasbro announced that Transformers 6 would drop in 2018.
The trailer itself is somewhat odd. First of all, Mark Walhberg’s character Cade Yeager doesn’t make an appearance. Instead, it features a new line of characters being introduced to the franchise. I’m assuming that Transformers 6 will move on from the Cade Yeager story arc (Age of Extinction and The Last Knight) like they did with Sam Witwicky from the first three films.
Secondly, there’s a lot of paranormal and bizzare oddities present throughout the trailer. Maybe Transformium makes a return or perhaps it’s Quintessla’s mystical powers bringing havoc all over the world?
Third, there’s not much explosions as seen in the last five films. I guess Michael Bay has been paying attention to haters and finally wanted to appeal the film to a wider audience who don’t favor the explosions.
Also, we get to see Unicron’s other horn in the trailer. I’m quite excited to see if Unicron actually transforms though. That would be interesting and add the franchise to a whole other scale.
Last but not least, Transformers 6’s subtitle. A Wrinkle in Time. Time travel? Will Optimus Prime go back in time to defeat Quintessla once and for all?
And that’s pretty much it for my speculation. Transformers: A Wrinkle in Time will be in theaters March 9, 2018.
